Hey, Mi Amore’s! I know that finding time and ways to unwind after a long day can sometimes be challenging. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and forget (or we just simply don’t know) to put our bodies back into chill mode. So, I put together some things that I like to do, in order to unwind after a long day.
Shower Therapy
This is probably one of my favorite activities to do, when trying to unwind. Basically, you get into the shower, get under the however, close your eyes, and just let all of your stress go down the drain. I also like to use this time to say a prayer and have a talk with Jesus.
Play Some Soft Music and Essential Oil Diffuser
I use Tidal for all of my music. I like to put on a Spa station, with my essential oil diffuser flowing. One of my favorite essential oil to use from the shopping club (I shop here to get all of my non toxic essentials), would have to be lavender. It will definitely put you in a good vibe. When I tell you that this is sooo relaxing, trust me! Not only will you unwind, but you will most likely fall asleep. And the good thing is, my diffuser has a timer, so I don’t have to worry about turning it off if I fall asleep.
Drink A Glass of Wine
I think this one goes without saying or without explanation. Wine def gets the job done lol! After a long day, sometimes you just need a glass of wine to relax...Period
Reading
I think reading can be very relaxing after a long day. Plus, it can really be a great time to get some quiet time to yourself and allow your body to get into relaxation mode.
Taking a Walk
I love taking walks! For me, I prefer to take walks outside and to just enjoy nature, so that I can gather my thoughts. Now, obviously if your day ending is at night, you may have to consider (or not, depending on where you live) the treadmill. Walking has been proven to have many benefits, one being the ability to increase your mood. Also! this is also great as a form of exercise. So you knock two birds with one stone with this one.
So, these are the few things that I like to do to unwind. I like to keep things simple, easy, and effective. Hopefully, these things can help you with unwinding at the end of the day. Finding ways to unwind is needed and necessary, if you want a better lifestyle. It helps you to refocus and just be more present. Being uptight and tense is not healthy at all. I use to find myself feeling super annoyed, negative thoughts, and sometimes sad. Once I took the time to care for Cherie and unwind after a stressful day, my mood changed. Even now when I’m feeling a little off or not in the best mood, I have to remind myself to STOP and just relax (unwind).
