What You Can Do Before Bed To Help With Your Overall Life

I’m not sure about any of you, but sometimes I go to sleep way past my bed time, which results in lost sleep. Which then leads to crankiness and less energy in the morning. And we all know that a bad morning can set the tone for the rest of the day. So, with that being said here are some helpful tips that you can do before bed, so that you can ensure a productive day to follow.

1. Set The Mood In Your Room

What I like to do is either light some candles or turn on my diffuser and add some lavender oil (Lavender is great with soothing you and helping you go to sleep). If you have children, this is also a great tool to help them fall asleep at night. Diffusers with a timer are good because you don’t have to worry about getting up to turn them off after you have dosed off.

2. Put on Comfy Clothes

If you are that person that likes to wear clothes to bed (I don’t), then you should look into getting bedtime clothes that are nice and comfy. Being uncomfortable when trying to go to sleep will def result in toss and turns all night.

3. Lavender Oil On Pillow Case

If you don’t have a diffuser, you can sprinkle a few drops of lavender oil on your pillow. Smelling that oil as you lay your head on your pillow, will def put you right to sleep.

4. Turn Electronics Off

I know for me, I personally stay up way past my bed time because I’m either watching TV or scrolling on Social media (or both). Next thing you know it’s 2am and you are still up looking crazy.

5. Charge Your Phone Away From Your Bed

Ok so this one I just started doing. I had to really stop playing myself and get my phone away from me at night. This has really helped me with my sleeping habits.

6. Take A Nice Shower

Taking a shower right before bed really helps me relax for some reason. I like to get in the shower and just wash all my troubles down the drain and just reflect on life.

7. Play Soft Music

Really good music to play at night is “Spa Music”. I get my tunes from Tidal and let that play throughout the night. By the time it goes off, I’m sound a sleep.

Hopefully these different techniques and tips can help you with your sleep. Sometimes you don’t even realize how much sleep is super important when it comes to our productivity. Preparing yourself for bed is just as important as preparing yourself for anything else in life.
